The Lephorus® method is much more than beautiful images.
Using images helps finding words to describe complex situations, concepts and feelings. In addition, they help when we are trying to communicate important ideas in a language that is not our first language.
The crucial features of Lephorus® are to:
- provide a framework that ‘holds’ both the conversation using images and the participants in a safe and manged space:
- each workshop is carefully constructed through a series of questions, going from the general to the particular, concerning the issue faced
- each set of questions is in turn allied with a family of images specifically selected for its ability to draw out the participants’ own knowledge and experience
- lead to agreed actions and delegated authority as the workshop participants together carefully lay out the images selected in response to the questions to construct a ‘chart’ to guide them.
